Casey has been in jail for almost three years as she awaited and then stood trial.
Orlando: A Florida jury on Tuesday found Casey Anthony not guilty of murder in the June 16, 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
Jurors deliberated nearly 11 hours over two days, taking nearly six hours on Monday with no break for the US Independence Day holiday, before reaching the verdict.
The defense had argued that Caylee died in an accidental drowning. Prosecutors had been expected to seek the death penalty if Casey had been found guilty of first-degree murder.
Casey, 25, who has been in jail for almost three years as she awaited and then stood trial, chose not to testify on her own behalf.
