BANGALORE: Two persons including a married woman were found murdered in two separate incidents in the city.In the first incident, a 26-year-old woman was found murdered by her husband on Sunday late night at their residence. The deceased has been identified as Srikanya, wife of Nagaraj, an autorickshaw driver. Both hailed from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and were staying in a rented house in Laggere near Rajgopalnagar police station limits. Police said, “The accused suspected his wife’s fidelity and this led to quarrels every other day. On the fateful night he fought with her as usual which turned into a heated argument. In a fit of rage he strangled her to death. After that he locked the house and fled.”The incident came to light on Monday morning after the building owner who did not find Srikanya or her husband around opened the window only to find Srikanya lying dead on the bed. He immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The police have filed a case against Nagraj, who is absconding.In another incident, an unidentified body was found in a drainage near a play ground in Jaraganahalli under the Kumarswamy Layout police station limits. According to preliminary investigations, the murdered person is 30-35 year old. The body was found with the head smashed using a stone, killing the victim on the spot. The police suspect that the incident could have taken place on Saturday late night. However, the incident came to light only at 6 am when the owner of the next plot noticed the body and immediately informed the police.The police found two names inked on both the hands in Kannada. One hand had ‘Lakshmi’ whereas the other bore the name ‘Raju Bassamma’.The police have registered a case of murder and are investigating.
