Three hurt in gelatine stick blast

SANGAREDDY: Three persons suffered injuries after a gelatine stick exploded in an agricultural well at Narayanapet village in Siddpet mandal on Sunday. The incident occurred when Anjaiah (35), Komuraiah (30) and Mahi (13) were drilling the well, as part of desilting works. The injured were rushed to Siddpet hospital. The well was in G Lingareddy’s farm. He took up desiltation works and while doing so, he found a boulder in it. He blasted the boulder with the help of three gelatine sticks. Believing that all the sticks had exploded, workers started work on Sunday. But one of the sticks remained unexploded.
