The sixties were the most fashionable decade: Poll
The sixties were dominated by rising hemlines, vivid colours, bold patterns, new fabrics and shorter hair trends.

London: The sixties, with its craze of mini skirts, shift dresses and the birth of monochrome, has been voted the most fashionable decade in a poll.

A fifth of women respondents voted the decade as the most fashion conscious, followed closely by the twenties and then the fifties, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The sixties' fashion, which respondents claimed revolutionised men and women's dressing, was dominated by rising hemlines, vivid colours, bold patterns, new fabrics and shorter hair trends.

It was the 1920s' flapper style dresses, cloche hats, trousers for women and bobbed hair, which took second place with 16 percent of the respondents voting for it for its fashion quotient.

At the third spot is 1950s, with 15 percent of respondents saying they loved the structured dresses and the colours of the fabrics.
