Tenzin Dagyal, the Tibetan who was restricted to bed since he was stabbed about a week ago, has started walking on Monday.
The 22-year-old has been walking within ward number 7 of KR Hospital with the help of two attendants.
Doctors said that Tenzin would be discharged in two to three days.
Meanwhile, ABVP national secretary Vinay Bidire pulled up the district administration and the police for not making any arrest in the case so far.
The culprits should have been arrested immediately and brought to books, he said.
However, sources in the police department maintained that they are close to nabbing the culprits.
But the entire police force was deployed on bandobast duty for Ramzan.
“Now that the celebrations have passed off peacefully we will now be able to concentrate more on the investigation,” said a police officer.
