Hyderabad: A special drive against the illegal financers has been launched by the South Zone Police to curb or to control unlawful finance business in the society. Under this special drive, 12 cases have been registered by police under Telangana State Money Lending Act and extortion case.
It has come to notice that, the instance of harassment by the private micro financiers are increasing in the society. They are collecting interest up to 30 to 40 per cent from the needy poor people i.e. vegetable vendors, push carts etc.
Many people are suffering the torture of illegal financiers. They are forcing them to pay higher rate of interest and warned to take their house hold belongings if they fail to pay demanded interest amount. The financiers are just sucking the blood by collecting huge rate of interest.
