New York: An unfinished trailer for Spider-Man 3 was leaked online, upsetting officials at Sony Pictures.
According to imdb.com, the promo shows scenes from the movie but was not selected as the official trailer. This has upset Sony executives who say their company was not responsible for the leak.
One of them said: "There are basic flaws within the system that make it impossible to guarantee security."
The third film in the Spider-Man film franchise is directed by Sam Raimi, who directed the previous two films as well.
The cast includes Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, and JK Simmons. The film also stars franchise newcomers Topher Grace and Thomas Haden Church.
The film is scheduled to be released in both conventional and IMAX theaters on May 4, 2007.
