HYDERABAD: Speaker N Manohar may take a decision on the resignations submitted by 26 MLAs only after the Election Commission issues a notification for the byelection to the Banswada constituency in Nizamabad district.The Banswada seat was vacated by TDP member Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, after defecting to TRS.Back in March, Srinivas’s resignation was accepted by speaker only after the notification was issued for the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly byelections.As many as 26 MLAs from the Congress, PRP and TDP have submitted resignations in support of Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.The speaker is also due to take a decision on resignations submitted by TDP’s suspended MLA Nagam Janrdhan Reddy and three other TDP rebels, K Harishwar Reddy, S Venugopala Chary and J Ramanna as also those 11 TRS MLAs.Srinivas Reddy said Election Commission (EC) may issue the notification for the Banswada bypoll in the first or second week of September.According to sources, speaker Manohar is going to be back in the capital in a couple of days and may start his examination of the MLAs’ resignations next week.
