New Delhi: Director Shoojit Sircar says he has put the debacle of Amitabh Bachchan starer 'Johnny Mastana' behind him to concentrate on the release of his

comedy film 'Vicky Donor', a funny take on the topic of sperm donation.

"I am happy that I am back and with a great project like 'Vicky Donor'. I have had a hard time in the past with 'Johnny Mastana' getting stuck but I hope this film brings positiveness into my life. It's a low budget fun and simple movie," he told PTI in an interview.

Sircar, who made his debut in Bollywood with 2005 release 'Yahaan', says he completed shooting for 'Johnny Mastana' (also known as 'Shoebite') in 2010 but issues between UTV and Fox Studio has kept the project on hold.

"I was depressed that the movie didn't release... Because of issues between the production houses the film is suffering. I was physically and mentally exhausted as it is a big project for me. The film's delay didn't let me concentrate on anything else and I couldn't come out of it for a long time.

"It is every director's dream to work with Amitabh Bachchan and having got that opportunity was a blessing but I guess sometimes things don't go as planned and I hope the movie releases soon for the sake of Mr Bachchan as it would be his one of the best performances," Sircar said.

However, the director says he has moved on from his past and is excited about his film 'Vicky Donor'.
