HYDERABAD: The three-day 346th Prakash Purab (birthday celebrations) of the tenth and last Sikh Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh concluded Saturday with hundreds of Sikh devotees and members of other faiths celebrating with gaiety and devotion.Sikhs in the city gathered at the Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda to take part in the "Vishaal Deewan" (mass congregation), organised under the aegis of the Prabhandak Committee, to offer prayers to Sri Guru Granth Sahibji (Holy Scripture of Sikhs).The congregation, which began at 11 a.m. and continued up to 6.30 p.m., saw recitations of Gurubani Keertans and Kathas (Holy Hymns) by the renowned and reputed Ragi Jathas (Sikh preachers). Bhai Amandeep Singh (Punjab), Bhai Partap Singh (Batalawale, Punjab) and Bhai Nanak Singh Sukhmani Hazuri Ragi Jatha and other reputed Ragi Jathas were specially invited from various parts of the country for the important occasion.They also delivered Gurbani Vichar that stressed on imbibing the higher values of life and communal harmony for which Guru Gobind Singh strived. After the congregation broke up, the traditional Guru-Ka-Langar (free community kitchen) was served to all devotees. Prabhandak Committee president S. Tirlok Singh and general secertary, S Satbeer Singh Sandhu welcomed the devotees at the mass congregation.
