Mysore: In a rare protest on Tuesday, the neighbour of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah protested outside his house alleging he was attacked by his son's personal assistant and his bodyguard.
Gopal, who owns a house next to Siddaramaiah's own house in Mysore, sat on a protest after he was allegedly manhandled by his son Rakesh's bodyguard and personal assistant.
When Siddaramaiah came out to meet him, Gopal explained to him that the people who come to meet his son and the chief minister urinate on his compound wall. He alleged that when he objected to this his son's personal assistant and his bodyguard attacked him and his family members threatening them with dire consequences.
Siddaramaiah promised to act against the accused and requested his neighbour not to make it a big issue. His son Rakesh, who looks after his affairs in hometown Mysore, has been facing criticism for his alleged highhandedness and interference in official work.
He was charged with an attempt to murder case during the last Assembly Election campaign. The charges were later dropped.
