New Delhi: Bollywood films have often explored love in a typical mushy manner but director Maneesh Sharma differs in his opinion and tries to address the relationship issues of today's youth. Within a few days of the release of the film, 'Shuddh Desi Romance' has struck the right chord with the audiences and has collected Rs 23.35 crore in three days.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#ShuddhDesiRomance collected approx Rs 23.35 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup: Fri 6.45 cr, Sat 7.90 cr, Sun *est* 9 cr +. SUPERB!"
Set in Jaipur, 'Shuddh Desi Romance' revolves around three characters who are engaged in a complex relationship. However, despite a much new star cast, the film has done some good business at the box office.
Earlier Adarsh tweeted, "#ShuddhDesiRomance continues to climb the ladder of success... Fri 6.45 cr, Sat 7.90 cr. Total: 14.35 cr on 1050 screens. Excellent!"
While Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput's film is minting money at the box-office, her cousin Priyanka's film is unable to find audience. The film has been able to collect only Rs 9 crore in the opening weekend.
