CHENNAI: Alleging delay on the part of the police in conducting the post-mortem on 25-year-old S Satish Kumar, whose body was fished out from a lake in ICF, a large group of lawyers blocked traffic on Poonamalle High Road on Tuesday.Law graduate Satish Kumar’s body was found floating in the lake in ICF North Colony after he went missing on June 7. The body which was identified by his parents, Shankarasubbu and Mylammal, was sent to the KMCH for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.  On Tuesday, Shankarasubbu, who is a senior lawyer, submitted a plea in the court, listing a panel of doctors who should conduct the post-mortem. Accepting his plea, the court passed suitable directions. Even as copies of the court order were being brought by a messenger to the hospital, about 50 lawyers blocked traffic opposite the KMC, blaming the cops for delay in conducting the post-mortem.DCP (Kilpauk) K Bhavaneeswari told Express, “The order arrived at 6.40 pm and we took it to the medical superintendent, who handed it over to the doctors concerned.” The doctors explained to Shankarasubbu and other lawyers that it would be better to perform the autopsy on Wednesday morning, when the injuries, if any, would be better distinguishable and the suggestion was accepted, she added.
