New Delhi: Sania Mirza moved into the second round of the US$175,000 WTA Tour tennis event in Cincinnati after her opponent retired during the second set.
The ninth seeded Indian teenager won the first set 6-1 and was leading 2-0 in the second when Alexandra Stevenson of the US retired.
This is the first tournament for Sania since Wimbledon a week ago.
