Safety Awards presented

KOCHI: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has bagged a number of awards for its outstanding performance in industrial safety from the Department of Factories and Boilers. It was awarded the first prize in safety film and ambulance room, and second prize in safety committee category. CSL has been awarded a certificate of excellence for outstanding performance in industrial safety in the very large factories-engineering category employing over 500 workers.CSL has been receiving the safety awards for the second consecutive year.Labour Minister Shibu Baby John handed over the award to Sunny Thomas, GM (ship building) and occupier, CSL, at a function held in  Kollam on Monday.
