Report sought from AROs on counting centres

CHENNAI: The District Election Officer and Chennai Corporation Commissioner, D Karthikeyan, has ordered all the 35 assistant returning officers (AROs) to submit their reports by Monday regarding places where counting centres could be set up for the forthcoming local body elections.Karthikeyan whochaired a preparatory meeting for all AROs on Thursday at the Ripon Building and  asked for the details about the counting centres from the field officials. An ARO said that the counting centres have to be located in spacious locations and should be perfect from the security point of view.
