Puducherry: Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy is scheduled to hold discussions with Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia at Delhi on June 27 to finalize the size of the annual plan of Puducherry for fiscal 2013-2014.
Rangasamy will be accompanied by Chief Secretary Chettan B Sanghi and other officials of the Planning and Research Department of Puducherry, official sources said. As the plan size has not been finalised,the territorial assembly passed at its session on March 27 the Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill earmarking 1193.34 crore from out of the consolidated fund of the union territory to enable government departments to meet the expenditure charged on the fund for first four months of fiscal (April to July).
A full-fledged budget would be passed as soon as the size of the plan is finalized at the coming meeting Rangasamy would have with the Planning Commission.
