Psycho-analysis test for Durranis, hope for Talwar
Psycho-analysis test for Durranis, hope for Talwar
CBI has found no evidence against Talwar, won't oppose his bail plea.

New Delhi: The Arushi-Hemraj murder case is getting increasingly intriguing with each passing day. In the latest twist, the CBI on Wednesday summoned Dr Anita and Dr Praful Durrani – family friends of the Talwars – to its office.

Sources say they want to cross-check the details provided by Durrani’s servant Rajkumar. The doctor couple is undergoing a psychoanalysis test.

But what about Dr Rajesh Talwar? Has the CBI given a virtual clean chit to him?

The agency is maintaining a stoic silence on the role Dr Talwar may have played in the murder. The dentist has been subjected to sustained interrogation, put under the lie-detector and also underwent a psycho-analysis test.

But agency sources indicate the investigators have failed to gather any material evidence against him and found nothing to corroborate the claims of the Noida Police. The CBI may not oppose his bail application during the next hearing.

Sources in the agency say Talwar had taken a sleeping pill on the night of the murder. While Dr his lawyers refused to come on camera, they asserted that all charges against the doctor will be dropped soon.

CBI's joint director Arun Kumar clarified on Tuesday that though Talwar’s compounder Krishna had given a confessional statement, it won't count in court till he repeats the statement in front of a magistrate.

What's your reaction?
