KOCHI: The final year MFA (Visual Media) students of Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi, organised a poster designing competition on ‘Conservation of Petrol’, on Monday. A bicycle rally ‘Avabodh’, for creating awareness among the public on the importance of petrol conservation and road safety, was inaugurated by Adarsh Kumar G Nair, Motor Vehicle Inspector Tripunithura. He spoke on ‘Petrol Conservation and Road Safety’ and pointed out that a human life is more important than the thrill of speedy driving and flouting rules.A team of 30 members, including staff and students took part in the rally. The rally cycled through Edappally Junction, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS Hospital) and Cheranelloor. Pamphlets depicting the road rules to be obeyed and petroleum conservation tips were also distributed.
