PM starts three-day visit to Moscow
Embarking the visit to Moscow, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said India and Russia hoped to build a long-term partnership in energy and security.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh leaves for Russia on Sunday on a three-day visit.

India and Russia will sign a defence-related intellectual property rights agreement, which will enable joint manufacture and design of weapons systems.

India will sign four key agreements on space and defence cooperation during Singh's visit to Moscow.

Both countries will sign a pact on Glonass, the Russian satellite navigation system.

Embarking a visit to Moscow, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday said India and Russia hoped to build a long-term partnership in energy and security.

He said that he would explore ways with President Vladimir Putin to enhance trade and investments between both the countries.

Singh, who will have his fourth meeting with Putin this year, said that he looked forward to review all key aspects of bilateral ties during talks with Putin.

Singh added that the bilateral relationship "marked by warmth, trust and mutual confidence" is an important factor in the creation of a secure and multi-polar world.
