Joint collector P Bhaskar conducted a magisterial inquiry into Sompeta police firing to register the versions of the victims at Revenue Divisional Office in Tekkali on Tuesday.
However, only a local reporter attended the probe though more than 50 persons sustained injuries when cops opened several rounds of fire at the locals on July 14, 2010.
“Only one person turned up for the probe even as the victims were informed well in advance about the date of inquiry.
None appeared for registering their complaints regarding the firing,” the joint collector confirmed.
On the occasion, Paryavarana Parirakshana Samithi president Y Krishna Murthy blamed the inquiry committee for poor communication.
