Obaid murder solved, four held

HYDERABAD:  Four days after the murder of Md Shamshamuddin alias Obaid near the Kacheguda police station, police on Monday arrested four persons.The accused are — Syed Abrar Hussain, a driver, Mohd Waheed, a private employee, Mohd Ibrahim, an auto-driver from Kachiguda and Syed Akthar, an auto-driver from Amberpet.At a press conference on Monday, East Zone DCP Y Gangadhar said that Obaid was married to Omera in 2008 and later divorced. Later he married Asra Begum though the latter's parents and brother did not accept her marriage.Since then there were differences between Obaid and her brother-in-law Shaik Jaleel Ahmed alias Laddu, who was arrested two months ago after he beat up Obaid in an inebriated condition,” the DCP said.Jaleel Ahmed hatched a plan along with his friends Syed Abrar Hussain, Mohd Waheed and Mohd Ibrahim to eliminate Obaid and then left for Dubai. Jaleel Ahmed kept tabs on Obaid’s movements and along with the others went to the latter's unani clinic at Nimboli adda on July 24. They followed him from there to the Station road in Kacheguda where they found him coming out of the Axis Bank ATM centre. They attacked him with axe and a butchers knife, killing him on the spot. Kacheguda Police, with the help of East Zone Task Force, arrested the accused Abrar Hussain and Akthar on July 26 near Zoo park and later caught Waheed and Ibrahim.Efforts are on to get Jaleel Ahmed deported from Dubai where he is presently.
