The website helps you locate donors in your city and invites you to be a blood donor yourself. A joint venture of Indian Blood Bank Society led by actor Mohanlal and NGO, Act for Humanity, the online blood bank has been started in Kochi of Sunday.The Kerala wing of the website was inaugurated by minister Adoor Prakash.Adoor Praksh said awareness programmes are a must to attract the public to donate blood. He said people do not want to get into long procedures for donating blood.Indian Blood Bank Society is a charity organisation formed by actor Mohanlal, and Act For Humanity is a non-profit organisation founded by Esahaque Eswaramangalam and a group of young social workers.The Indian Blood Bank Society has the technical support from WebCastle Media Pvt Ltd, Kochi.
