BHUBANESWAR: Union Minister for Tourism Subodh Kant Sahay on Tuesday said the abduction of two Italians by Maoists would not have any significant impact on the inflow of foreign tourists to Odisha. He said the two were abducted from a forested place and not any traditional tourist spot. “The abduction issue is a sensitive one and should not be given a political angle. There should be a mechanism of inter-state coordination among Maoist-hit states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and West Bengal to ensure safe tourism,” he said.Sahay further said safety of the abducted Italian nationals was the top priority of the Centre and the State Government should ensure their safe return. The Minister was here to inaugurate the five-day Odissi dance festival - New Creations in Odissi Dance - at the Bhanja Kala Mandap.
