KOZHIKODE: The abduction of Koyilandy native Kolara Veettil Biju from his wife house in Philippines continues to be shrouded in mystery as neither his wife in Philippines nor his parents and brother at Moodadi near Koyilandy have received any information from the authorities regarding the safety and security of Biju. The relatives of Biju is tense as they have not received any information about his whereabouts for the past many days.
Biju was abducted on June 22 and no information on the location of the abductors and safety of the person was given by the officials yet. Though Elena, wife of Biju received a call from him a week ago mentioning that he was safe with the separatist group Abu Sayyaf, even she did not get any further information.

"We spoke to Elena on Monday morning also, but she said that she did not receive any information," said Biju's brother.

Though reports are spreading that the Abductors have demanded a ransom of `60 lakh from the family of Biju, his brother Shybu denied any such information adding that neither his family nor the inlaws of Biju had received any such information.

However, they failed to give any further information on the issue.

The Philippine force is conducting investigation and the person would soon be released, he exuded confidence. ENS
