NIOS D.El.Ed Datesheet for Untrained In-Service Teachers' Exams 2018 has been released by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) on its official website – nios.ac.in. NIOS is scheduled to organize the 1st Public Examination for D.El.Ed from May 31, to June 2, 2018, at 2:30pm to 5:30pm, for over 13 lakh untrained in-service teachers across the country.

About NIOS D.El.Ed Programme for Untrained In-Service Teachers:
NIOS D.El.Ed Programme has been designed to train Untrained In-Service teachers at elementary level via Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode. The programme comprises of a total of 10 papers divided into 2 semesters of 9 months.
The Central Government aims to train Untrained In-Service teachers by March 2019. As per HRD Ministry, Untrained In-Service teachers (whether serving in Private or Government Schools) must get NIOS D.El.Ed training, failing which their service as teacher can be disqualified.
