Escalating its attack on the BJP-led central government, the ruling Congress in Karnataka led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah staged their protest “Chalo Delhi” in the national capital on Wednesday, alleging ‘injustice’ to the state in tax devolution and grants-in-aid over the past few years. The protest by all Congress legislators and MPs from the state, including ministers, began at 11 am on Wednesday at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Indian-Origin Engineering Student, 23, Found Dead In US, Fifth Such Incident This Year

An Indian-origin student, Sameer Kamath, was found dead at a nature reserve in the US this week, marking the fifth such incident this year. However, the cause of Kamath’s death remains unclear at the moment. He was found at about 5 pm Monday at Crow’s Grove Nature Preserve at 3300 North Warren County Road 50 West, in Williamsport, Warren County Coroner Justin Brummett said in a press release on Tuesday, according to local media. Kamath, a doctoral candidate at Purdue University in Indiana, held US citizenship and had completed his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in August last year. READ MORE

Ancient Lord Vishnu Idol Resembling Ayodhya’s ‘Ram Lalla’ Statue Found in Karnataka | Details

An ancient idol of Lord Vishnu, which features all his ten incarnations, was recently discovered in Karnataka’s Raichur and has sparked enthusiasm among the devotees. Archaeologists believe that the idol belonged to the 11th or 12th Century AD. According to PTI, the idol, which showcases the ‘dashavatara,’ is remarkable as its features resemble the recently consecrated Ram Lalla statue in the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
