New Serious Online Magazine

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Yet another online magazine in Malayalam, modelled on a regular mainstream magazine, covering everything from interviews to video clippings, would be launched in the city on Thursday. Named ‘Nellu’, the online magazine would be unveiled by CPM general secretary Prakash Karat at a function to be held at the Karshaka Sanghom Hall opposite AKG Centre. Preejith Raj is the editor of the online magazine: www.nellu.net Some of the contents of the magazine include cover story - the main item each week which would be an interview with an eminent personality - and ‘kazhchapadu’, to be handled by different personalities and which would deal with serious political issues. In the first edition, the column would be handled by Dr Sukumar Azhikode.  ‘Janangalode’ is a video link which would be used by political leaders to talk to the people. In the first edition, CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan will speak. ‘Samakalikam’ column handled by K N Panickar, ‘jeevithanauka’ by Mohanlal and ‘mannum manushyanum’ by Sugathakumari are some of the other contents.              ENS
