The stretch connects Patancheru to NH-9 towards Vijaywada, NH-7 towards Bengaluru and to the state highways leading to Vikarabad, Srisailam and Nagarjunsagar, apart from Gachibowli and Hitech city. The opening of this part of the ORR will ease the transport of inter-state heavy vehicles, allowing them to ply at daytime. It will also provide easy access to Srisailam highway and Nagarjunsagar Highway. Also, the new route will reduce the time of travel and make Shamshabad reachable in 25 minutes instead of 2 hours from Patancheru.
