More US Congressmen support Indo-US nuclear deal
A bipartisan group of Congressmen sent a letter supporting the deal.

Washington : The Bush administration is working hard to meet the deadline of September 25 for preparing the nuclear deal and the deal is now getting more support in Washington.

Both Republican and Democrat members of Congress are pushing their passages in the White House.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to visit White House on September 25 and expectations are high that the deal will be signed by the two leaders on the same day.

On Tuesday a bipartisan group of Congressmen sent a letter supporting the deal to all 435 members of the House of Representatives.

The letter said that the speedy passage would benefit both India and the US and that it should go through the session soon.

The letter was sent jointly by four past and present co-Chairman of India Caucus, Republicans Joe Wilson and Ed Royce and Democrats Frank Pallone, Joseph Crowley and Gary Ackerman.
