"We are reviewing number of issues. We are very concerned, we want to help Arunachal Pradesh utilise its hydro potential. There are some projects, so we reviewed the state of the projects," Ahluwalia said after the meeting.

There are number of projects in the state that have been stuck due to issues related with forest and environment clearances.

Hydro power contributes 18.6 per cent at 39,416 mega watt (MW) to the overall installed generation capacity of 2,11,766 MW.
As per reports, Arunachal Pradesh has the highest potential for hydro power generation in the country at over 50,000 MW.
