Moderate rainfall continues for second day in UP

Light to moderate rainfall continued for the second day  in various parts of Uttar Pradesh, bringing down the mercury level.

Faizabad recorded 12 mm rainfall, followed by Uttraula at 7 mm and Basti 4 mm. Day temperature was below normal in Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Faizabad, Kanpur, Agra, Allahabad and Jhansi divisions.

The highest maximum temperature of 40.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Jhansi.
