A jewellery shop owner was found dead in his car near the Bhoo thathanketu dam in the wee hours of Saturday. According to the police, P K Murali, 38, the owner of Karthika Jewellery, was found dead inside his Maruti Swift car with the engine of the car and air-conditioner running.
The police had to break open the lock of the car to gain entry into the vehicle. The body was later shifted to Kothamangalam Government Hospital. The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem examination. The police have initiated an investigation to ascertain if there was any foul play involved.
