Shriya Pilgaonkar Did Not Expect This Star To Follow Her On Social Media: ‘I Love Him’

Shriya Pilgaonkar seems to have become the fans’ favourite after the success of her recent release Taaza Khabar 2. The actress enjoys a massive presence on the social media platform Instagram with over a million followers. Shriya’s followers list also includes her colleagues and prominent Bollywood stars. She recently revealed that actor Ranveer Singh also follows her on Instagram.

In a conversation with Filmygyan, the Mirzapur actress was asked to name a popular celebrity whom she did not expect to follow on social media. Quick enough to respond, the actress mentioned Ranveer Singh.

“Ranveer (Singh) follows me on Instagram. I love Ranveer,” she said.

After making her mark in the world of OTT, Shriya is now looking to focus on films. She opened up about her wish to work with the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also reflecting on the balance she wants to create between OTT and films.

“Ideally, I want to keep a balance, which is why today, I’m focusing more on films now. That’s perhaps a medium that I’ve not done enough of or it’s not come too much my way… I’ve been wanting to dance on screen,” the actress told news agency PTI.

“I want to do that one big cinematic period drama, out-an-out all guns blazing, Sanjay Leela Bhansali film because a lot of my work has been rooted in reality. I want to experience Bollywood masala larger-than-life films… That is every actor’s dream,” added Shriya Pilgaonkar.

Taaza Khabar 2 stars Bhuvan Bam, Jaaved Jaaferi, Prathamesh Parab, Deven Bhojani and Shilpa Shukla.

The project was bankrolled by Rohit Raj and Bhuvan Bam under the banner of BB Ki Vines Productions. Directed by Himank Gaur, the second season of the show saw Bhuvan reprising his role of Vasya as he faced a new challenge.

On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is all geared up for the release of Singham Again. The Rohit Shetty directorial features a star-studded lineup including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer.

Singham Again is set to hit the theatres on November 1, getting a Diwali release. The makers recently released its trailer, hinting at the story’s co-relation with the depiction of a few incidents based on Ramayana.
