BHUBANESWAR: Suspecting the character of his wife, Jayakrushna Sahu of Mangala basti under Nayapali police limit killed his 15- month-old son by throwing him into a well on Monday night.Following a complaint from Jayakrushan’s younger brother Bijay, police arrested the accused and forwarded him to court.Jayakrushna, a pan masala vendor, hails from Daspalla area in Nayagarh district and was residing in Nayapali area along with his wife and younger brother. He often picked fight with his wife over trifling things. Since he stays away from the house for long periods, Jaykrushna suspected that his wife is having affairs with other people in the neighbourhood, police said.As usual, the couple had a fight on Monday night. When everyone in the family was asleep, Jayakrushna threw his son into a well in the locality and went to the house of his sister near Nico Park. Suspecting something wrong, his sister wanted to know why he visited her late in the night. As Jayakrushna narrated the incident, his sister informed the matter to Bijay.
