Three doctors and two ophthalmologists have been suspended for negligence.
In yet another case of medical negligence, 14 people in Maharashtra lost their eyesight after a cataract surgery at Washim civil district hospital. The loss of eyesight was likely because of negligent post operative care.
Tests have revealed that eye swabs used at the hospital contained infectious bacteria and the infections were contracted due to unclean medical equipment.
Three doctors and two ophthalmologists have been suspended for negligence.
