Kodiyathoor Murder: Two more accused held

KOZHIKODE: The Special Investigation Team on Tuesday arrested two more youths in connection with the lynching of Shaheed Bava of Kodiyathoor. Bichutha alias Jaffer, 30, and Shahul Hameed, 26, both hailing from Kodiyathoor were arrested from different locations, said Assistant Commissioner Jossy Cherian, head of the Special Investigation Team.After the incident, Shahul Hameed, who is a barber, had fled to Mumbai and on Monday, police got information that he was coming to Kozhikode. He was arrested from  the Railway Station here, added Jossy Cherian.Jaffer, who is running an interlocking brick business, was arrested from a petrol pump in Manali near Mukkom in the district. With the arrest of Jaffer and Shahul Hameed, the number of persons arrested in the case has risen to 10. The police informed that five more suspects are yet to be arrested in the case.Police charged a case under IPC section 302 (murder) and produced both before Thamarassery Judicial First Class Magistrate Court (Second) on Tuesday. The court remanded both the accused in judicial custody.
