KOZHIKODE: The Special Investigation Team probing the T P Chandrasekharan murder case on Monday recovered live bombs from the houses of CPM activists in Mahe, Chokli areas and arrested one person.The SIT has also got clues that the country-made bombs hurled at the RMP leader were made by CPM activists in Paral, a village in New Mahe.The probe team conducted extensive raids in New Mahe and Chokli here. Ratheesh from Paral was arrested after live bombs were seized from his house. He has links with the local CPM leadership, police sources said.The SIT also conducted raids in the houses of key suspects Kodi Suni alias Sunilkumar and Rafeek at Chokli and Palloor respectively.The SIT is investigating the role of prisoners released recently from the Kannur Central Jail as some of them are suspected to have executed the murder.Kannur Cyber Cell has started a probe based on the calls made from the mobile phones that were secretly used by the prisoners. The investigation is based on the details gathered from the mobile tower situated in Vallikunnu, near the jail.According to the information available from the Kannur Central Jail authorities, 12 prisoners were awarded parole last month.The key suspect Kodi Suni, who was in the jail serving sentence in a murder case, was released last month. Rafeek is also involved in some 29 cases, including murder. According to police sources, Kodi Suni and Rafeek are professional goons, who commit murders for money.Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan met the investigating officials at Vadakara and reviewed the progress of the probe.
