KOCHI: The ‘Chintan Baithak’ of the BJP state unit concluded here on Saturday after a brainstorming session on the policies and strategies the party would adopt in the coming days. A sub-committee, comprising M P Ramesh and George Kurian, was also formed at the meeting for drafting the political policy to be discussed at the state conference of the party, to be held next month.The state executive meet will deliberate on the policy on April 19, after which it would be discussed at the district committees. After considering the additions and the omissions, the policy would be put forth at the state conference.The meeting, attended by BJP National Secretary in-charge of Kerala Affairs Muralidhar Rao, discussed various strategies for strengthening the party in the state.The leaders also opined that the party should explore ways to bring the Christian community under its fold.BJP state president V Muraleedharan said that all relevant political issues were discussed.“Only a preliminary discussion was held regarding the party’s policy. The district committees will have to discuss it before it is presented at the State conference,” he said.
