GULBARGA: Chied Minister Yeddyurappa has a reason to feel relieved. His predecessor and State Unit chief of Janata Dal (S) HD Kumaraswamy has assured that he would not 'dig out' new scandals involving Yeddyurappa and his government at least for the next few months.
Answering a question on whether he would continue exposing new scams about the BSY Government, Kumaraswamy said, "let BSY and his Cabinet digest the old scams". The JD(S) chief said he would continue to fight against BSY for taking to logical the scams involving Yeddyurappa and his government which he has exposed. Kumaraswamy congratulated Yeddyurappa and his Cabinet colleagues on completing three years in office despite instability and discontent among MLAs and Cabinet colleagues. For most of the term, Yeddyurappa has been controlling the situation and his colleagues.

When the attention of the former chief minister was drawn to the statement of Yeddyurappa that "father and sons have not allowed me to sleep in the last three years," the former chief minister asked whether Yeddyurappa wants JD(S) to keep quite when they loot the treasury of the State.

He said whatever instability Yeddyurappa experienced was the result of his own "sins". "I having no role in making the BJP government unstable", he said.

When asked to rate the performance of the Yeddyurappa Government and of the role of opposition parties in the last three years in Karnataka, he said opposition parties have done their duties in exposing misdeeds of the government.
