Kuala Lumpur: Next year's Asian Cup final, to be co-hosted by Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand, is to take place in Jakarta, organisers said on Friday.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) awarded the tournament's showpiece game on July 29 to the Indonesian capital with Hanoi (Vietnam) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) set to stage the semi-finals.
The opening game will be played in Bangkok (Thailand) on July 7.
"We are putting great trust into these national associations," AFC president Mohamed bin Hammam said on the organisation's official website.
"I am sure they will deliver."
The AFC added that a full match schedule would be released once approved by the organisation's competitions committee.
The last Asian Cup was held in China two years ago. AFC officials brought forward next year's tournament by a 12 months to avoid clashing with the European Championship and Olympic Games.
Following the 2007 Asian Cup, the competition will revert to its traditional time-frame of once every four years.
