Barasat (WB): An Indian truck driver was assaulted by a Bangladeshi autorickshaw driver at Benapole on the India-Bangladesh border on Wednesday, police sources said.
The assault led to protest by Indian drivers who refused to drive into Bangladesh, which led to suspension of import-export activities for over an hour.
The issue was settled after negotiations and normal operations resumed, the sources said.
