BANGALORE: Two miscreants, in disguise of customers, entered a jewellery and banker shop and made away with gold ornaments worth `4.5 lakh.The incident was reported in Puja Jewellers and Bankers located near Ganesha Temple in Bommanahalli in Madivala police station limits on Tuesday morning.According to the police, shop owner Ramdev said at around 10 am two youth came to the shop and asked him to show jewels. They selected an earring and paid `2,000 as advance and told him another person, their ‘swamiji’, would collect the jewellery. Meanwhile, one of them entered the counter and took away jewels, when the other person had engaged Ramdev in conversation.Later, he too left the shop even as the owner looked on.Ramdev told police that he felt he was hypnotised by the miscreants and was not in a position to oppose when they took away the jewels. Police have taken the video footage recorded by CCTV camera to trace the accused.
