A wife strangled her husband to death since he had sold off an anklet she got from her maternal place. The incident took place at a village named Umari in Uttar Pradesh’s Raebareli. The area falls under the purview of Salon police station.

The victim identified as Narsingh Yadav is a farmer by profession. The wife has been arrested. She has confessed to her crime.

The deceased Narsingh Yadav had married twice. While his first wife has been identified as Pushpa Devi, he got married to his second wife Vimala Pasi eight years ago.

Yadav was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Initially, Vimala Pasi informed the police that her husband had died under suspicious circumstances. After the police conducted the post-mortem of the body, it came to light that Yadav had died by strangulation.

Following this, the police started keeping a close watch on Vimala Pasi, thinking her to be the primary suspect. During police interrogation, Vimala Pasi shared that her husband was alcoholic. Pasi said that her husband had sold the anklet which she had got from her maternal place to purchase alcohol. A quarrel broke out between the couple when he returned home drunk. In the heat of the moment, Pasi strangled her husband to death.
