BELGAUM: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said that BJP state president K S Eshwarappa and Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda are free to give any kind of statements and he will not react to them. Speaking to news persons here on Monday, Yeddyurappa said that as a common worker of the BJP, he will continue his efforts to build the party in the state to ensure clear majority in the next general elections. Answering a query, he said that the party high command will select the leader who will lead the party in the next general elections.When asked about reports that he demanded the party high command to appoint him as either as the chief minister or as the party state president, Yeddyurappa said that he never expects any of the posts. I strive hard as a common worker of the party. Power may come and go at anytime, he added.However, Yeddyurappa hoped that the party high command will take suitable decision at a proper time about changing the chief minister and the party president.He said that he will participate in the funeral of former chief minister S Bangarappa to be held on Tuesday at Sorab. ‘Vested Interests  Working Against Me’Later, addressing the people at the Janajagruti Dharmasabhe organised by Shri Kedar Peetha at Mutnal village in Belgaum taluk, Yeddyurappa said that people of the state know that he was victimised for mistakes which he never committed.Without mentioning the name of anyone, Yeddyurappa said that a vested interest group has kept an eye only on him and are harassing him mentally.Yeddyurappa also mentioned that he will come clean of all the charges levelled against him and without any fear he will continue his work to build the party as well as the state the the years to come. Yeddyurappa said that he has struggled to make the state as a role model for development in the nation when he was CM.Yeddyurappa also said that he took oath as the chief minister in the name of farmers and worked for their welfare. He also listed the developmental works and the facilities given to the farmers at his tenure as  chief minister. He appealed to farmers not to sell paddy at cheaper rates to repay their agriculture loan as the government has proposed to purchase them at a good rate.
