Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad was on Friday barred from flying by Air India and four private Indian carriers after his brazen assault on an Air India officer.

Declared Ciminal Cases Against Sena Legislators
- Shiv Sena won 63 seats in the 2014 Maharashtra Assembly polls
- Of those 63, 48 Sena MLAs (or 76%) have criminal cases against them
- Out of those 48, 35 of them (or 56%) are facing serious criminal cases
- Sena has 18 MPs in the current Lok Sabha
- Out of those 18, 15 have declared criminal cases against them
- Eight MPs are facing serious declared criminal cases

- In June 2016, Sada Sarvankar, Sena legislator from Mahim accused of hitting a woman Sena activist
- In May 2016, Sena corporator Rajendra Suryawanshi was booked for allegedly assaulting a BMC employee over an argument
- In April 2016, Hemant Patil, Sena MLA from Nanded held Devgiri express for nearly an hour insisting that a particular berth be allotted to him.
- In August 2014, 11 Sena MPs, including Gaikwad, were accused of trying to force-feed a Muslim caterer during the fasting month of Ramzan at the Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi
- In July 2014, Sena MLA Prakash Bala Sawant was booked for allegedly threatening to “strip and thrash” a woman following an argument
- In August 2013, Sena MLA Anil Kadam allegedly vandalised toll booth in Pimpalgaon near Nashik when he was asked to pay toll
- In March 2008, a lift operator in Vidhan Bhavan was admitted to St George's hospital after a Shiv Sena MLA Dinkar Mane assaulted him
