HYDERABAD: Political leaders and social activists have demanded that the state government use the valuable land of old Gandhi Medical College at Bhaseerbagh for construction of government offices or of Hyderabad district administration as it is located in the heart of the state capital.The suggestion came at a round table organised by Jana Chaitanya Vedika at Sundraiah Vignana Kendram here on Sunday.Deobra of Forum for Better Hyderabad said that if the government constructed its offices at the place, it would be of use to 85 lakh population living in the capital because of its central location.He wanted all government offices including the district collectorate, women and family welfare department and others built there without harming the heritage structures standing on the premises.Vedika president V Lakshmana Reddy said they decided to organise the round-table as some private organisations started lobbying for getting a lease of the land for corporate use.He said they were working to get the support of all political parties and social activists on the matter and would meet chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy soon with their demand.Former minister K Pushpaleela of the Congress, G Aravind Kumar Goud of TDP and S Srinivasa Reddy, director of APSA, an NGO, participated
