Gold-snatcher duo held

KOCHI: Palarivattom Police arrested the Tamil gang who snatched a 2.5 sovereign chain of a woman on the Palarivattom-Kadavanthra lane. The arrested were Elamchelian, 19, son of Palani swami of Dharamapuri, and Thangepran, 23, son of Saravanan from Selam.The duo had snatched the chain from Shobha, 45, wife of Aiyyappan, Kanayannoor, who was on her way to office last Saturday at 8.45 am. When the police questioned the accused who were found in suspicious circumstances Near Netaji Road, Palarivattom, they confessed to the crime.
