Four Naxals, including a woman cadre, on Saturday surrendered before the police at Bijapur in Chhattisgarh.

Four Naxals, including a woman cadre, on Saturday surrendered before the police at Bijapur in Chhattisgarh.

Laxman Hemla (24), Ganesh Irpa (24), Jatte alias Jamna Pallo (26) and Kosa Parsa (19) surrendered before Bijapur Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal, a police officer said.

The officer said all the four decided to quit the movement after being disillusioned. According to police, Hemla was abducted by Naxals in 2007 and was forced to join the movement.

Irpa who hailed from Basaguda joined the Naxals in 2001 and he had been a Naxal commander between 2009-11.

Jamna Pallo, who was from Nugur, was abducted by Naxals in 2006 and forced to join them, and Kosa joined the ultras while living at his Palli village and was a member of supply team of the rebels.

The surrendered Naxals allegedly told police that their colleagues from Andhra Pradesh discriminated against those from Chhattisgarh.
