Five nabbed for gambling

HYDERABD: Task Force sleuths nabbed five persons for indulging in gambling and recovered Rs 24,430 and two mobile phones from them in Kalapather on Tuesday .Ahmed Ali of Kalapather, Mirza Amjad Baig alias Amjad of Moghalpura, Syed Ahmed alias Basha Khan of Baba Nagar, Mahmood Bin Abdul Rahman and Md Sadeq alias Chotu of Kalapather were held when the raid was conducted on a residential premises near Ismail Patel Masjid.According to the police, Ahmed Ali is the owner of the house and he has been running the gambling business in the house due financial problems. He collects money from those who come to play. Among the five held, Syed Ahmed is a history-sheeter of Kanchanbagh police station who was by Moghalpura police in a gambling case earlier. Police recovered Rs 24,430 and two mobile phones from them.
